Chef James A. Figueroa-Pérez hails from a proud multi-generational family of chefs and restaurateurs. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, his culinary journey began at home under the guidance passionate cooks and gourmets—including both of his grandmothers—who instilled in him a deep respect for tradition, flavor, and hospitality. Eager to expand his skills, James moved to Florida to study at Le Cordon Bleu Miami, using that education as a springboard to explore the world’s kitchens. His passion for learning and mastering diverse techniques has taken him across the globe—from the vibrant markets of Thailand and India to bustling commercial kitchens in Nairobi, Ottawa, Mexico, Curaçao, Puerto Rico, and throughout the United States. With a rich background that blends Caribbean roots and global influences, Chef James brings a unique culinary vision rooted in heritage, creativity, and a love for bold, authentic flavors.
