Cleveland Smith is a lighthearted man filled with love and generosity. After leaving Jaxson’s, loyal customers followed him through each new beginning until he achieved his dream of opening Cleveland’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream in 2019. Thanks to the dedication of the community and the support of customers helped the business expand, opening another shop located in Lauderhill in 2025.

With over fifty handcrafted flavors and a customer suggestion box, Cleveland ensures everyone has a voice in his creations. “One taste and that’s it!” he proudly says, proven true by his loyal following.

When asked about his success, Cleveland shares, “Follow your heart and don’t take no for an answer.” His perseverance and passion earned him recognition from Sun Sentinel, Deco Drive, and a 2021 Broward County proclamation declaring February 9th as Cleveland Smith Day—honoring his hard work, creativity, and contribution to the community.
