Description

The Pio Cesare Family has been crafting Nebbiolo, one of the most important and iconic Italian native grape variety, in his historical cellars in the heart of the city of Alba, in Piedmont, since 1881.

In this seminar we will present how the Nebbiolo grape can majestically adapt to the terroir of Langhe region with its particular terroir, soil, microclimate and hillside exposures; producing diverse expressions of Barolo and Barbaresco, as expressed throughout the Pio Cesare style.

We will celebrate the high profile of the 2021 vintage, traditional yet contemporary; matching the traditional “blending” philosophy of Barolo “Pio” and Barbaresco “Pio” with the single-vineyard approach of Barolo “Ornato”, Barolo “Mosconi” and Barbaresco “Il Bricco”.

Recognized and appreciated for its great aging potential, we will close the tasting with Barolo Pio 2016 to show the longevity and evolution of a very classic vintage.

Featured Wines:
1. Barbaresco Pio 2021
2. Barbaresco Il Bricco 2021
3. Barolo Pio 2021
4. Barolo Ornato 2021
5. Barolo Mosconi 2021
6. Barolo Pio 2016
