Description

On your knees, pasta lovers. A superhero is making his way to Miami and his name is Stefano Secchi. The skilled chef of Rezdôra in New York City’s Flatiron District has already become something of a pasta-making legend, having trained under the brilliant Massimo Bottura at Osteria Francescana in Modena before opening his Michelin-starred restaurant that celebrates the cuisine of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. Lucky for us (and for you!), he will have the opportunity to demonstrate his exceptionally versatile gifts at this year’s Festival as he shares the spotlight with Michael White and Manuel Garcia. White has been the definitive word on Italian gastronomy since he burst onto the New York culinary scene nearly 20 years ago. As one of the country’s most decorated chefs – with career-defining successes and countless awards as the Head Chef of Altamarea Group’s roster of restaurants including Marea, Ai Fiori, and Vaucluse – he has certainly claimed his rightful spot in the culinary canon. While Garcia is the Executive Chef of Zucca, the stylish Coral Gables restaurant known for its inventive spins on traditional pasta dishes. Complete with magnificent Italian wine pairings courtesy of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, the trio's menu will pay homage to the style of the local nonna tradition and prove that when it comes to Italian comfort food, there is nothing quite like a perfect bowl of pasta.
