Description

In 1974, vintner Joe Phelps had the idea to make a separate cuvée each year, one that would represent the finest wine he could make from each vintage. With Insignia, he created California’s first proprietary red Bordeaux-style blend. Over forty-five years later, Insignia is recognized as one of the world’s most iconic wines.

Join a Joseph Phelps winery team member or Phelps family member for “Blending Napa Valley’s Iconic Insignia” to play winemaker for a day tasting components of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc from six of the winery’s Napa Valley estate vineyards and then craft your own version of Insignia. Compare and contrast your blend with the 2017 Joseph Phelps Insignia as you learn your own wine blending preferences. Take the challenge by joining Joseph Phelps Vineyards for a fun and educational interactive experience blending Insignia!
