CEO Rhonda Carano takes you on the journey of her family-owned winery’s road to becoming an iconic producer of high-elevation, sustainably-farmed 2015 Cabernet Sauvignons, with a guided, comparative tasting of Ferrari-Carano’s award-winning Trésor, PreVail West Face and PreVail Back Forty wines. Led by Director of Vineyard Operations Steve Domenichelli and Executive Winemaker Sarah Quider, you will have the unique opportunity to experience these select 2012 library selections and 2015 cabernet sauvignons from Alexander Valley and Sonoma County, breaking down each vintage in flavor profile, terroir, climate influences and sustainable farming practices.

Ferrari-Carano has long practiced sustainable farming techniques to help protect the lands they farm – both vineyard and agriculture – and the environment that surrounds them. In 2015, Ferrari-Carano’s 24 estate vineyards throughout Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino counties, earned California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA) certification. Recognized for their numerous efforts to preserve the land for future generations while producing memorable, sustainable wines of outstanding quality, this certification acknowledges Ferrari-Carano for being conscientious of the environment, surroundings, neighbors and their labor force. Creating unique and memorable wines from vineyard to bottle – to help the vines produce the best fruit possible, and in turn, the best wine possible – has always been Ferrari-Carano’s goal.

“The trademark of Ferrari-Carano is our people, our vineyards and the positive family team spirit we all share,” says Rhonda Carano. “It’s a large family who has grown together over the years – vineyard, cellar, winemaking – and understands the philosophy and direction of what makes Ferrari-Carano world class. We’ve come together to achieve a common goal: a delicious bottle of wine at the end of the day.”
