For many seasoned diners, Michael White has been the definitive word on Italian gastronomy since he burst onto the New York culinary scene nearly 20 years ago. As one of the country’s most decorated chefs -- with career-defining successes and countless awards as the Head Chef of Altamarea Group’s roster of restaurants including Marea, Ai Fiori, and Vaucluse -- he has certainly claimed his rightful spot in the culinary canon. For one night only, the James Beard Award winner will take up residence at SGWS Wynwood, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits’ modern-industrial hospitality center, to showcase the deeply soulful, flavorful interpretations of Italian cuisine that make him one of the most sought-after chefs working today. Joining White will be Magic City favorite and Chopped champion Giorgio Rapicavoli, whose marvelous Luca Osteria in Coral Gables easily ranks as one of the city’s finest restaurants, Italian or otherwise. SGWS Wynwood’s state-of-the-art Demonstration Kitchen and Mixology Lounge will serve as the ideal setting for their multi-course menu, beautifully enhanced with fine Italian wines from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio.

Guests will be assigned seating prior to this event. We can only guarantee that tickets purchased within the same transaction will be seated together. If you would like to be seated with another guest(s) who purchased ticket(s) separately, please send your request via email to tickets@sobewff.org. The Festival cannot guarantee accommodation of specific dietary requirements (including preferences and allergies) at this event. Please contact us at tickets@sobewff.org no later than two (2) weeks prior to this event to inquire if the venue and chefs can assist with your request.

All proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in all aspects, including Festival planning, logistics and overall execution.

All guests, talent, staff, students and working personnel at all event venues will be required to complete a digital health screening through SymCheck™. This includes attestation of either: a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to the event OR completed vaccination plus presentation of a cleared SymCheck™ QR Code. Anyone presenting symptoms on arrival will be denied entry.

By attending a 2022 SOBEWFF® Event:

  4. You (and all ticketed attendees) understand that by attending SOBEWFF® and therefore being subject to these COVID-19 Protocols, SOBEWFF® reserves the right to refuse entry or remove an individual from an event if any such protocols are breached.
