This truly will be a historic night for the South Beach Wine & Food Festival®. Michelin-starred Chef Thomas Keller is joining us for the first time at the Festival to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary. Keller joins forces with Manuel Echeverri, Chef de Cuisine of Keller’s The Surf Club Restaurant located in Surfside's historic The Surf Club. The special dinner will be an unforgettable Festival experience that is guaranteed to astound guests with a contemporary take on continental cuisine and perfectly paired wine from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio.
Chef Thomas Keller is renowned for his culinary skills and high standards. He has established a collection of restaurants that sets a new paradigm within the hospitality profession. Now celebrating its twenty-seven year, Keller took ownership of The French Laundry in Yountville, CA and quickly garnered worldwide acclaim. His restaurants also include Bouchon Bistro, with locations in Yountville and Las Vegas; Per Se in New York City; Ad Hoc + addendum in Yountville; Bouchon Bakeries in Yountville, Las Vegas and in the Middle East; and the Mexican eatery La Calenda in Yountville. He is the first and only American-born chef to hold multiple three-star ratings from the prestigious Michelin Guide, as well as the first American male chef to be designated a Chevalier of The French Legion of Honor. With more than 1.5 million copies in circulation, he is the author of six cookbooks, including his most recent, The French Laundry, Per Se (Artisan, October 2020).
One copy of Chef Keller's book The French Laundry, Per Se will be gifted for every two tickets purchased.
To offer the safest experience and adhere to each restaurant’s unique seating capabilities, tickets will be sold in the specific table configurations listed at checkout. We cannot guarantee that multiple tables purchased for the same event will be located next to each other, but will do our best to accommodate this when venue floorplans allow for it. All proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in all aspects, including Festival planning, logistics and overall execution.
COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures
Honoring our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our staff, talent, attendees, sponsors, participants, and community, SOBEWFF® has consulted with the FIU Healthcare Committee on COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols that follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), State of Florida Department of Health, Miami-Dade County, and the City of Miami Beach. Attendees will be required to provide proof and/or attestation to a negative PCR COVID-19 test dated no more than 72 hours prior to the event(s) you will be attending, or alternatively to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination via the SymCheck™ app and present a cleared assessment, contactless ticketing system, and thermal imaging systems for temperature checks taken at all events. Apart from the Wine Spectator Wine Seminar series, all events will take place outdoors with new additional measures on capacity restrictions, cleaning and sanitization, physical distancing, and mask requirements. By attending a 2021 SOBEWFF® Event:
- You acknowledge that you (and all ticketed attendees) will comply with all SOBEWFF® Health & Safety Protocols, before and during the event, including but not limited to face mask requirements.
- You acknowledge that you (and all ticketed attendees) will complete a required SymCheck™ Screening & Health questionnaire no more than 24 hours prior to arriving at a SOBEWFF® event.
- You acknowledge that you (and all ticketed attendees) will be required to provide proof and/or attestation to a negative PCR COVID-19 test dated no more than 72 hours prior to the event(s) you will be attending, or alternatively to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination.
- You (and all ticketed attendees) understand that by attending SOBEWFF® and therefore being subject to these COVID-19 Protocols, SOBEWFF® reserves the right to refuse entry or remove an individual from an event if any such protocols are breached.
