WhenThursday, May 20
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
The Festival is teaming up once more with James Beard Award-winning chef, TV personality, cookbook author, and last year’s Tribute Dinner honoree Marcus Samuelsson! The culinary community’s beloved Samuelsson brought his flagship restaurant, Red Rooster, from the streets of Harlem, NY over to the heart of Overtown, in celebration of the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood. Kick off dinner while checking out Samuelsson’s newly opened space and browsing the artwork created by local artists, and then prepare for an all-American comfort dinner rooted in Southern and Caribbean cuisine. Sip on rosés from the Château d'Esclans portfolio, while you enjoy live music and savor Samuelsson’s culinary creations that honor the spirit and vivacity of Harlem and Overtown’s food, culture and people!
To offer the safest experience and adhere to each restaurant’s unique seating capabilities, tickets will be sold in the specific table configurations listed at checkout. We cannot guarantee that multiple tables purchased for the same event will be located next to each other, but will do our best to accommodate this when venue floorplans allow for it. Interested in buying out an intimate dinner experience at SOBEWFF® 2021? Please email email@example.com to learn more about our dinner buy-out opportunities.
EAT. DRINK. EDUCATE.
All proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in all aspects, including Festival planning, logistics and overall execution.
