Description
Sometimes the greatest meals are crafted by the most unlikeliest of pairings. That’s certainly the case with this inspired Festival dinner, which combines the very best of Chinese and Italian flavors. For many seasoned diners, Michael White has been the definitive word on Italian gastronomy since he burst onto the New York culinary scene nearly 20 years ago. As one of the country’s most decorated chefs – with career-defining successes and countless awards as the Head Chef of Altamarea Group’s roster of restaurants including Marea, Ai Fiori, and Vaucluse – he has certainly claimed his rightful spot in the culinary canon. For one night only, the James Beard Award winner will team up with Joe Ng, the dim sum master who uses a distinctively locavore approach to reimagine Chinese cuisine. The centerpiece of Ng’s partnership with the late great Ed Schoenfeld is, as it always has been, RedFarm and for this exclusive SOBEWFF® dinner, the restaurant’s Miami outpost will serve as the ideal spot for his cross-cultural exchange of flavor with Chef White. Like the Chinese philosophical concept of yin and yang, this sensational dinner finds the essential balance in two opposite but interconnected forces.
