Sarah Durand
Born in the heart of the Champagne region, into a family of winegrowers from the Côte des Blancs, Sarah was drawn to Champagne from an early age. Starting her career at a major Champagne house, Sarah chose to focus on a single objective: to contribute to the reputation of Champagne wines in France and around the world.
Sarah studied in the historical wine region of Bordeaux at KEDGE Business School and kept on developing her knowledge about viticulture and oenology, including taking her Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 3.
Sarah gained a wealth of experience in wine business, marketing, communications, and training—be it in Champagne houses, with a wine trader in Bordeaux, with a wholesaler in Paris, and at “Le Comité Champagne” (the joint-trade association acting in the interests of the Champagne designation) where she worked for four years.
Sarah then joined Champagne Lallier as Global Brand Ambassador in April 2023. Advocating for Champagne world-wide, she always keeps a bottle in her suitcase when travelling, from short stints in Paris to introduce Lallier to Michelin-starred Chefs and Sommeliers, to the farthest reaches of the Artic Circle. For Sarah, thinking collectively is key to develop new visions and ideas, revealing the fresh perspectives of all those who are gathered—a value that is at Lallier’s core and the Champagne region as a whole.
