Roger Duarte, president and founder, is a former investment banker with a love for seafood. In 2008, he left the high-paced, high-pressure world of investment banking to open his own business which then led him to open My Ceviche and ZUUK Mediterranean kitchen. He currently operates 9 locations in South Florida. In 2012, Duarte was recognized by Forbes in their “30 under 30” list. A year later, Bloomberg also named him, “Miami’s King Crab” Based in Miami, George Stone Crab has partnerships in Central and South America for the distribution of stone claws in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Panama, Turks and Caicos and Venezuela. The company is the largest distributor of stone crabs to Latin America. Their team brings in between 3,000 to 5,000 pounds of claws daily (during season). Every order is packed within 24-36 hours of being caught and cooked. George Stone Crab doesn’t believe in freezing their claws.
