My love for food started about 40 years ago in my birthplace, Italy. I would always help out my Grandmother in her kitchen on Sundays, mostly to avoid having to go to Church. From there, my curiosity brought me to Culinary School, which then led to working in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy, (i.e. San Domenico, Villa del Quar). Soon after in 2006, my friend Michael White invited me to help him open a restaurant in New York City. He received 3 Stars in the New York Times. That was the moment everything changed. I eventually decided to go on my own and open a small restaurant in the West Village. After achieving so much in such a short time, I was sought out by Cipriani. I worked all over the New York City locations with the Cipriani group. In 2013, I moved to Miami to open Cipriani Downtown Miami. It was here in Miami that I was recognized by the James Beard Foundation to be a part of their “Skuna Bay Dinner” in 2016. My passion for food, and this business, is what drives me. I’ll always be the young boy in Grandma’s kitchen.
