Chef Phil Campbell is an internationally-recognized culinary leader with rich experience and expertise. He attended Liaison College of Culinary Arts in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Campbell, where he honed in on his kitchen skills and excelled in the culinary training programs. He furthered his education by earning an HACCP Level 3 certification, followed by Health and Safety Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certifications.
Throughout his career, Campbell has held several positions in the kitchen, from Senior Chef de Partie at Le Poussin at the Whitney Ridge Hotel to Sous Chef at the Limewood Hotel. In September 2010, he joined Goodman Restaurant in Mayfair, London as Head Chef, a position he held for seven years and where the restaurant was awarded one of the United Kingdom’s Top 100 Restaurants from 2011-2014.. Most notably, in August 2018, Campbell helmed the kitchen at the critically acclaimed restaurant Beast in London, where he served as the Executive Chef for two years.
For the next couple of years, Campbell continued his work with Goodman Restaurant Group as a leader in the kitchen, holding pivotal positions and managing kitchen operations and culinary programs for six restaurants spread across three distinguished brands: Goodman Steakhouse, Zelman Meats, and Beast London.
In August 2022, Campbell made his way to Miami and opened fine dining restaurant Klaw Miami as the Corporate Executive Chef, where he currently holds that position. Located in the historic Woman’s Club building, the chic restaurant has introduced a new wave of luxe surf and turf dining, featuring internationally-sourced Norwegian shellfish and a multitude of shared plates with cuts of meat originating from Nebraska ranchers, all curated by Chef Campbell, with seasonal dishes rounding out the menu. His responsibilities include overseeing the development and opening of Klaw Miami, spanning concept creation, culinary development, kitchen design, Executive Chef recruitment, and culinary team training. Under Campbell’s direction, Klaw was named one of World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants in the country. Local publication, Eater Miami, also named Klaw as the “Restaurant of the Year” in 2022.
