Two-time James Beard award-winning Chef Paul Bartolotta is the co-founder and owner The Bartolotta Restaurants, the premier restaurant and catering group in the Greater Milwaukee region. An internationally celebrated chef and restaurateur, Chef Bartolotta has shared his culinary talent in kitchens around the globe, including 15 restaurants in Italy and four, three-star Michelin restaurants in France, where he worked alongside acclaimed chefs Paul Bocuse and Roger Vergé, among others. At the age of 24, Chef Bartolotta received three stars from the New York Times while serving as Chef de Cuisine of New York’s acclaimed San Domenico. In 1994, Chef Bartolotta received the James Beard Award for “Best Chef Midwest” for Chicago’s Spiaggia; and in 2009 he won the James Beard Award for “Best Chef Southwest” for Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare at Wynn Las Vegas – one of five awarded in the city. He has also been nominated three times for “Outstanding Restaurateur” by the James Beard Foundation; and he has been instrumental in shaping Milwaukee’s culinary scene since The Bartolotta Restaurants launched its first concept, Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993. Chef Bartolotta has made numerous television appearances in the United States, Italy, France, and Japan; and has been recognized by the president of Italy as an authentic ambassador of Italian cuisine.
