A Michelin awarded chef and 4x James Beard Semi Finalist, Niven Patel continues to hold a pursuit for knowledge as the driving force behind his career. Working closely with farmers and purveyors, he developed a deeper appreciation for the life cycle of produce and herbs. He bought his own two-acre farm in Homestead, known as Rancho Patel, and began cultivating greens, fruits and vegetables. Rancho Patel became the main inspiration for all Feal Hospitality concepts: Ghee, Erba, and NiMo. While his restaurants serve a selection of cuisine from various regions, his inspiration is consistently focused on showcasing fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. Chef Niven partnered with restaurateur Mohamed Alkassar to launch Feal Hospitality to begin a culinary journey set to enhance the community of South Florida which was quickly recognize by the James Beard Foundation receiving a semi-finalist nomination for Outstanding Restaurateur.
