Nico Martinez and Tere Gallina are the chef/owners behind Recoveco in South Miami, an intimate restaurant serving an evolving and seasonal menu while leading a small but greatly talented team.

Nico was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and attended the Gato Dumas Culinary School before moving to Miami. Tere was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela and got a degree in chemistry from UM before switching career paths.

They met while cooks at Alter in Wynwood, Miami and worked together as co-CDC’s at Itamae in the Design District. With combined experiences in Latin America, the US and Europe, Nico and Tere want to bring taste and beauty in equal measure to this uncategorizable restaurant.
