Chef Miguel’s love for food came at a young age while cooking with his family at their restaurant in Puerto Rico. This love grew in conjunction with his desire to travel, where he gained inspiration through culture and global culinary cuisine.

While focusing on Florida flavors and fresh produce, Chef Miguel includes techniques from his Puerto Rican background, using traditional Spanish herbs and spices. He works with local farms in South Florida to ensure that all fruits, vegetables and herbs are at the highest possible standard. Chef Miguel specializes in creating customizable menus for meetings, weddings and social events.

Before joining Hilton West Palm Beach, Chef Miguel helmed the kitchen at The Capital Hilton in Washington D.C., as well as Loews Miami Beach, Acqualina by Rosewood, Hyatt Pier 66 and El Conquistador, a Waldorf Astoria Resort. He was trained by Chef Marc Ehrler, Master Chef of France.
