Success does not happen overnight nor is it achieved by just having a great idea. Maria Suñe, CEO of Crêpe Maker®, has proved that success comes to those who are willing to take a risk and do not give up.

Success does not happen overnight nor is it achieved by just having a great idea. Maria Suñe, CEO of Crêpe Maker®, has proved that success comes to those who are willing to take a risk and do not give up.
In 1992, while her first born was still in diapers, she went to Paris on vacation and noticed street vendors selling crêpes and asked herself: what if we could offer a non-traditional crêpe filled with fresh, healthy food combinations, made right in front of customers? And she and her husband set out to establish their own business.
CrêpeMaker is a Miami-based business known for its catering services. It serves both private parties and corporate events. It also grew into a chain of cafés located in South Florida, Tennessee, California and Puerto Rico.
She credits her success to her hard working staff some of whom, in an industry known for high turnover, have been with CrêpeMaker for over 10 years.
Maria Suñe also believes that it is important for local businesses like hers to support their community so that they can grow and benefit together. One of the ways she accomplishes this is through fundraisers and donations with schools and local charities. She likes to remind her staff that at CrêpeMaker “We don’t just make good food, we do good with our food.”
PS: Just in case you were wondering, her first born, after working for years as a CrêpeMaker chef while going to college started a new career in DC. Her second son, Austin, is in college moonlighting as a CrêpeMaker chef and being trained to take over the operations. And her third child is in college in Pennsylvania on a ballet scholarship and yes, he does work as a chef when in Miami.
