Claudio Lobina was born and raised in Milan in Italy, within a family that has a long tradition and passion for the beauty of Italian cuisine.
He started his culinary career with his own restaurant, Sorriso, in Milan, where he was the Executive Chef for more than ten years. After meeting his Cuban wife in Milan, he moved to the United States in 2010 and started working at Puntino, an Italian restaurant in Key Biscayne, where he became the head chef and a local favorite among South Florida patrons for over eight years.
After establishing himself with his authentic style of regional Italian cuisine, renowned restauranteur and proprietor of The Patio restaurant at the Continuum in Miami Beach, Michele Merlo, called upon Chef Claudio to join his team. The day after their conversation, Claudio showed up to their meeting in a suit and tie, and Michele knew he had found the perfect addition.
Since December of 2019, Claudio has assumed the role of Executive Chef at The Patio at the Continuum luxury residences in Miami Beach—responsible for implementing a unique menu of flavors considered to be the most authentic in the region, encompassing the highest quality of ingredients from his home country.
