Julio Cesar Ramos was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico, and spent much of his childhood with family learning how to prepare various types of fresh seafood caught along the Western coast of the Gulf of Mexico. At the age of 19, Cesar moved to the United States and began working at La Piazza in Santa Monica, California. Following stints at Michael Mina at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and Cipriani in Miami, he moved to New York City to work at Cipriani Downtown. In 2010, Cesar joined Altamarea Group and served as a key part of the opening culinary team at Osteria Morini in SoHo. Soon thereafter, he was quickly promoted to Sous Chef.

Recognizing his culinary talent, dedication and affable personality in the kitchen, Altamarea Group Chef Bill Dorrler asked Cesar to help open the second Osteria Morini in Bernardsville, New Jersey. Over the past few years, Cesar has served numerous roles at Altamarea Group, most notably as Chef de Cuisine at Due Mari in New Brunswick, NJ as well as supporting the Group’s new restaurants and expansion of Osteria Morini and Nicoletta Pizza brands. Cesar is excited to embark on his next adventure in Miami and serve as Chef de Cuisine of the newest Osteria Morini in Miami Beach, FL.
