Chef Josh Becker
Fortunate to have discovered his passion for cooking at a young age, Josh Becker joined Fisher Island Club as Director of Culinary Operations in November 2021. In this role, he oversees the culinary experience at the Islands seven restaurants, which range from casual to elegant and encompass modern Mediterranean-inspired spaces and waterside views, as well as a Jazz Age-era lounge and an old-world library in the historic Vanderbilt Mansion.
Prior to joining Fisher Island Club, Josh served as Director of Culinary Operations for modern-luxury liner Celebrity Cruises, responsible for menu development, implementation and execution across the line’s 13 ships staffed by 2,200 culinary personnel. At the helm of concept development, innovation and cost control, Josh was instrumental in creating 23 distinct dining concepts for Celebrity while coordinating operations and supply chain management in more than 70 global markets, cities and ports.
Prior to his time in the cruise industry, Josh served in chef capacities at Ritz Carlton Hotels, the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami, and various restaurants in San Francisco. Inspired by international cuisine—including Pacific Rim, Caribbean and South America—he has hosted classic culinary events that include Taste of Sydney, Taste of London, Food and Wine Festival NYC and the Aspen Classic.
Josh resides in Miami with his wife, daughter and four-legged friend Pomsky.
