Spurred by a traumatic incident that reshaped his perspective, Hinson found purpose and passion in the culinary arts. With a bold decision to leave an MBA program and a promising actuary career behind, he began his journey humbly—knocking on doors to beg for a cooking job and starting as a dishwasher. Through resilience and determination, he rose to leadership roles at iconic luxury brands such as Wolfgang Puck, Din Tai Fung, The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Conrad, and Grand Hotel, excelling in operations, culinary development, and team mentorship.

Chef is also a world traveler with a passion for language and food culture, Hinson draws inspiration from his traveling experiences to create exceptional dining concepts that celebrate diversity, evoke the five senses, and explore a harmony of flavors and textures. He has been featured in Food Magazine and invited to showcase his talents at renowned food and wine festivals. Outside of the kitchen, Hinson enjoys trekking outdoors with his Siberian Husky.
