Miguel Antonio Gomez Fernández is the Executive Chef of Pisco y Nazca. Gomez most
recently served as Chef de Cuisine at celebrity chef Gastón Acurio’s La Mar in San
Francisco. Gomez’s exceptional skills range from running the day-to-day operations of
the kitchen to creating innovative menus using authentic flavors. His passion for

Miguel Antonio Gomez Fernández is the Executive Chef of Pisco y Nazca. Gomez most

Francisco. Gomez’s exceptional skills range from running the day-to-day operations of
the kitchen to creating innovative menus using authentic flavors. His passion for
Peruvian cuisine stems from his native roots.

Raised in Iquitos, Peru, a port city bordering the northern Amazon, Gomez has a strong
connection to the culture and flavors of his native country. He has a passion for and
inherent responsibility to the environment and constantly looks for sustainable resources
to use in his dishes. Gomez’s authenticity and enthusiasm have been evident throughout
his entire career and will be showcased through Pisco y Nazca’s impressive menu.

Gomez completed his culinary studies at the Napa Valley Cooking School. He also
earned a degree in Economics from Universidad Ricardo Palma, which has been
instrumental in the operations of the restaurants he has managed. His talent and
dedication were essential to the success of his career, starting out as a butcher in 2009
and advancing to Chef de Cuisine at acclaimed La Mar in San Francisco. He gained
invaluable experience with the Acurio Group with positions at La Mar, Lima, Astrid y
Gaston and other restaurants in their portfolio. He now brings that talent to Pisco y
Nazca.
