Chef Giovanni Pisfil
Chef Giovanni Pisfil, originally from Peru, grew up by the ocean at Pimentel Beach, where his love for seafood and cooking sparked at a young age. By 12, he was already inspired to pursue the culinary arts. After moving to Washington, DC, for high school, he returned to Peru to attend Le Cordon Bleu, gaining hands-on experience and formal training that set the foundation for his career.
Giovanni’s culinary journey has taken him worldwide, working on cruise ships and absorbing diverse cuisines that enriched his unique style. Eventually, he made his home in Miami, where he brought his Peruvian influence to local restaurants, leading him to join Grove Bay. As the Executive Chef at Bayshore Club Miami, Giovanni now combines operational leadership with his love for seafood, overseeing a high-energy kitchen and crafting new recipes. On the corporate side, he also plays a key role in the openings of new restaurants at airports.
With over 20 years of experience, Giovanni brings strong skills in catering, food and beverage management, and customer service. Outside the kitchen, he enjoys an active lifestyle with jet skiing, surfing, cycling, and running by the beach, reflecting his love for the ocean and the outdoors.
