Jorge Miguel Cabrera began his culinary career in his home country of Cuba, where he learned and developed the skills he has today. Cuba was not only responsible for his experience in the restaurant industry, but was also the inspiration for the vibrant, energetic take he has on preparing new and inventive plates at Biella Ristorante; the eclectic new Italian eatery situated in the heart of Sunny Isles.

Jorge Miguel Cabrera began his culinary career in his home country of Cuba, where he learned and developed the skills he has today. Cuba was not only responsible for his experience in the restaurant industry, but was also the inspiration for the vibrant, energetic take he has on preparing new and inventive plates at Biella Ristorante; the eclectic new Italian eatery situated in the heart of Sunny Isles.

Upon moving to Miami, Cabrera familiarized himself with the culinary scene and enrolled and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu. He then went on to become Executive Sous Chef at Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill in Midtown. From there, he took his talents to Pasión Restaurant, Miami’s “Culinary School Restaurant,” where he served as Executive Chef and Director of Culinary and Hospitality, teaching and molding the minds of young, aspiring culinary professionals. His oversight on all restaurant operations and mentorship of the young and eager chefs made him the perfect fit for his role at Biella, where he spearheads the entirety of the restaurant’s kitchen operations as Head Chef. His simple, yet elegant, culinary approach coupled with his knowledge of local product has proven to be an asset to the Biella team and the restaurant’s intimate, refined and authentic Italian atmosphere.
