Brian Cornelius is the Executive Chef at Grateful Palate Catering & Events under the 3033 Group umbrella, which includes Shooters Waterfront. He manages on-site and off-site catering events such as weddings, corporate functions, birthdays and holiday parties at the company.

Cornelius was born and grew up in Syracuse New York where at a young age his love for culinary arts was inspired by his grandmother who routinely baked for a church. He held numerous culinary positions in upstate New York before relocating to Florida for a position as Sous Chef and Banquet Manager at the Hilton Port Saint Lucie. After four years, Cornelius relocated to Davie to join South Florida’s noteworthy Ale House team as a trainer traveling the east coast.

Cornelius joined the 3033 Group in 2014 as Sous Chef and was appointed to Executive Chef of Grateful Palate in 2017. He now works on menu development alongside team members James Crowley, the 3033 Group Culinary Director; Roberto Santiago, the Executive Chef of Shooters Waterfront; and Peter Lopez the Director of Operations for both locations.

In the kitchen, Cornelius caters to fans of comfort fare and fresh seafood while specializing in gluten-free dishes and creative gluten alternatives.
