Robert Nowell began his college career at the University of Delaware where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Upon graduating, he realized that he had a passion for cooking and began his culinary career and formal training at The Culinary Institute of America.

After attending The Culinary Institute of America, Chef Robert Nowell accepted an offer as Lead Line Cook at Morimoto in Philadelphia where he worked from 2007 to 2009. He returned in 2010 as Sous Chef. After staying at Morimoto for two additional years, Chef Robert Nowell left Philadelphia and moved to New York City and accepted a position as Sous Chef at Buddakan NYC. He transitioned from Buddakan to gain additional Big Apple experience at revered restaurants such as The Peacock/Shakespeare and Rainbow Room.

In 2015, Chef Robert Nowell moved to Florida where he became Executive Sous Chef at Marion in Miami. In 2017, Chef Robert Nowell moved back to Philadelphia to work with the Starr Restaurants as an Executive Sous Chef at Talula’s Garden.

In 2019, he returned to Florida as Executive Chef at Loch Bar in Boca Raton. Currently, Robert Nowell is Chef at Steak 954, a contemporary steak house located at the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale. Chef Robert Nowell’s top skills include cuisine, cooking, and menu development.
