Arthur de Lencquesaing
Of French origin, Arthur de Lencquesaing has been connected to the wine world since his childhood; his family owned Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Bordeaux. He decided to follow his family’s tradition which goes back to the 18th century and began his career working for wine merchants in Hong Kong and creating a wine club in Shanghai while also studying business administration in Paris, Lyon, Rome and Madrid.
He completed his wine training by attaining the Advanced Certificate from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Currently, he is studying for the WSET Diploma.
He worked for eight years for Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy – LVMH, holding several positions in sales and marketing divisions in France, Belgium, Spain and the UK; looking after brands like Veuve Clicquot, Dom Pérignon and Ruinart. In the last four years, based in London, he has been the International Business Development Director for iDealwine, a French fine wine auction house, while also taking on the role of co-director at Glenelly Estate, a family vineyard in South Africa. His international spirit and expertise in the premium wine sector brought him to Marqués de Murrieta, where he became the International Director in January 2019.
