Andrew Mayer
Andrew Mayer grew up in a predominately Jewish community is New Jersey where he started working in restaurants at 16 years old. At 18 he relocated to fort Myers Florida where he first got introduced to a restaurant that would change his life, Roy’s.
After working in the Fort Myers restaurant scene for a few years, he moved to Orlando for culinary school and started working at his favorite restaurant, Roy’s. Roy’s was created by legendary multiple James beard award winning chef Roy Yamaguchi, for the next 15 years Andrew honed his craft with pacific rim cuisine, moving from server to Manager to managing partner to regional manager.
Subsequently spending time in over twenty different toys restaurant nationwide, Andrew decided it was time to leave and start his own brand. That’s when Poke OG was born followed by Mr. Omakase, then Miss Crispy Rice, Papi Churro and Dumplings Mi Amor. Our vision is to bring high-end culinary techniques I fused with aloha service with the freshest products set at an unprecedented value.
