Alexander Diaz is a Chef from Bethlehem, PA. Chef Alex started his career working at an Italian restaurant under his chef father, at age 14. While working with his father, he developed a passion for cooking and his interest grew stronger. He hungered for more culinary knowledge. So, Chef Alex enrolled into the Culinary Program at Lehigh Technical Career Institute. Upon graduation, with certification in hand, he relocated to Houston, TX.
He accepted a position of Line Cook at Flora & Muse, a Mediterranean restaurant. Within a year’s time, he stepped up to the position of Sous Chef. After 4 years, Chef Alexander Diaz discovered more opportunities with Darden restaurants. There he became a Certified Trainer / Certified Culinary Professional, learning management skills in a high-volume setting. He trained and mentored a team of 15 employees.
Chef Alexander then relocated to Orlando, to be close to his mother and to explore the culinary scene in Central Florida. He started collaborating with Chef Jamie McFadden, owner of Cuisiniers Catering Company. Here is where Chef Alex truly developed his chef skills, to include catering, portioning, inventory, management, thereby earning the status of Chef De Cuisine.
Chef Alexander Diaz opened his own breakfast and lunch restaurant in June of 2019 in Casselberry, FL. There at Alex’s Fresh Kitchen, he has been delighting customers’ taste buds with his passionate creations earning many accolades, such as Casselberry’s Best Business 2020; Orlando’s Best Burger 2020, The Mamba Burger; and the Battle Brothers’ Choice Award 2022.
The award-winning Mamba Burger was created in memory of the athlete Kobe Bryant. Chef Alex embodies the “Mamba Mentality” every time he prepares and serves his Mamba Burger, displaying his trust and belief in the relentless work it takes to follow his passion; his passion to share his delicious food creations.
