Abe Moiz
Abe Moiz came to the US about 8 years ago. Little did he know that he would become a pioneer for bringing some of the best flavors of Indonesian cuisine. He and his partner started Krakatoa Indonesian Cuisine in a farmers market in Hollywood, Florida. Very soon they discovered people loved the unique flavors of Abe’s creations. Surprisingly, a food niche was discovered and the buzz spread through the community. Soon they were visited by renowned chef Norman Van Aken who gave then a shout out on his radio show and the rest is history. The restaurant eventually moved into a brick and mortar in downtown Hollywood. There, Abe showcases dishes from his childhood in Nusa Tenggara Barat. Abe would tell you he cooks from his memories as a child. So his food is from his soul. Over the years they have been blessed by amazing exposure, by the likes of Michelle Bernstein, Guy Fieri, and the South Beach Wine & Food festival. Through the success of the restaurant, Abe now has his own retail line of cooking seasonings under the name 17000 Flavors of Indonesia. Everyone can easily use them at home to make their own simple, quick and uniquely flavored meals. Abe continues to spread the word about Indonesian flavors and is committed to “Make the World Tastier”.
