Chris Resnick is the lead bartender at Minnow Bar and Seawell Fish n’ Oyster, located adjacent to Kimpton Angler’s Hotel Miami Beach. With nearly a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Resnick has managed Miami bartending institutions and will now oversee daily operations at the new “NoFi” neighborhood bar and restaurant.

Chris Resnick is the lead bartender at Minnow Bar and Seawell Fish n’ Oyster, located adjacent to Kimpton Angler’s Hotel Miami Beach. With nearly a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Resnick has managed Miami bartending institutions and will now oversee daily operations at the new “NoFi” neighborhood bar and restaurant.

Resnick began his career behind the bar in his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, where, in 2012, he landed a bartending gig at the local experimental cocktail bar The Rail. The bar’s unique take on cocktails inspired Resnick to immerse himself in learning more about classic cocktails and spirits. In the following years, he continued to hone his skills at various city bars including The Atlas Ballroom, until earning a lead bartending position at the city’s first craft distillery, Cardinal Spirits, in 2015. As lead bartender, Resnick also managed the bar’s daily operations and daily programming.

In 2017, he moved to Miami, landing a bartending position at the distinguished Regent Cocktail Club in South Beach, before quickly earning the bar manager position at Lure Fishbar at Loews Miami Beach. In February 2018, he joined Minnow Bar and Seawell Fish n’ Oyster as lead bartender. Resnick will direct all day-to-day bar operations for both the reimagined gin joint and the new neighborhood restaurant, including routinely developing new cocktail programs highlighting a diverse selection of clear spirits, beers and wines. Incorporating his signature flair into every drink, the cocktails offered will be inventive while also fun and approachable.

Minnow Bar is a new modern cocktail bar serving a variety of gins and botanically-driven clear spirit cocktails, as well as unembellished bar fare, set to open this spring. Seawell Fish n’ Oyster is a soon-to-open casual seafood restaurant boasting nautical décor, serving rustic coastal sea fare and straightforward dishes. When he’s not behind the bar, Resnick enjoys going to local farmers’ markets, drawing inspiration for future bar creations.
