Iron Chef Marc Forgione has spent his entire culinary career demonstrating that rustic can indeed be wonderful. His is the kind of food one would expect from the son of “The Godfather of American Cuisine” (the great Larry Forgione) -- unflinchingly honest, complex, and always presented with a sure-handed artist’s touch. The masterful chef, who helms the kitchens at Peasant (the Italian restaurant in Nolita that he took over in 2020) and his eponymously named Tribeca restaurant, made history when he became the youngest American-born chef and owner to receive a Michelin star in consecutive years. Upon enjoying this exceptional meal, you’ll immediately see (and taste) why. For this SOBEWFF® dinner at Osteria Morini, the charming Altamarea Group restaurant tucked inside the Kimpton Hotel Palomar, Forgione and Osteria Morini’s Executive Chef Bill Dorrler will be pulling out all the stops to deliver a seasonal menu layered with playful touches and contemporary twists, accompanied by bold wine pairings from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio.

Guests will be assigned seating prior to this event. We can only guarantee that tickets purchased within the same transaction will be seated together. The Festival cannot guarantee accommodation of specific dietary requirements (including preferences and allergies) at this event. All proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in all aspects, including Festival planning, logistics and overall execution.

All guests, talent, staff, students and working personnel at all event venues will be required to complete a digital health screening through SymCheck™. This includes attestation of either: a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to the event OR completed vaccination plus presentation of a cleared SymCheck™ QR Code. Anyone presenting symptoms on arrival will be denied entry.

  4. You (and all ticketed attendees) understand that by attending SOBEWFF® and therefore being subject to these COVID-19 Protocols, SOBEWFF® reserves the right to refuse entry or remove an individual from an event if any such protocols are breached.
