Description
Lucky us that these trailblazers will unite for a one-of-a-kind dinner with a global twist. Chef Mashama Bailey has spent years cooking at NYC restaurants, including at Prune for her friend and mentor, Gabrielle Hamilton. Now Executive Chef of The Grey in Savannah, Mashama won the James Beard Foundation Awards for Outstanding Chef in 2022. Chef Tiffany Derry is the founder of Tiffany Derry Concepts and co-founder of T2D Concepts, the Texas-based purpose-driven hospitality group behind Roots Chicken Shak and Roots Southern Table. Vallery Lomas is the winner of The Great American Baking Show and the first Black winner of the Great British Bake Off franchise. She hosts the digital show Vallery Bakes and answers your questions on Food Network’s website and the Food Network Kitchen app. Chef Tristen Epps started his career with hotel kitchen jobs – Ritz-Carlton, Westin, Four Seasons, Greenbrier. In 2014, Epps was a finalist on ABC’s The Taste, earning him a sous chef position at Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster in Harlem. When Samuelsson needed an executive chef for Red Rooster’s Miami offshoot in Overtown, Epps was all in. The convergence of these four powerhouses at Ocean Social at the iconic Eden Roc Miami Beach will be nothing short of a knockout.
*Proceeds from this dinner will support the Coastal Bounty Scholarship presented by The Grey at FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and will be specifically designated for scholarships funding student externships.
