You may recognize celebrity Chef Enrique Olvera from his appearance on Netflix’s Chef’s Table or for being the mastermind behind Cosme in New York City, NY and Pujol in Mexico City, ranked 12 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list (2019). Known for colorful dishes that pay homage to his birthplace of Mexico City, Olvera packs a punch of elevated Mexican flavor in all of his creations. Joining the maestro this year, is Executive Chef at the helm of La Mar by Gaston Acurio, Diego Oka. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Oka has first-hand experience of growing up in one of the world’s most exciting culinary destinations. With influences including his grandmother’s cooking, his Japanese-Peruvian heritage and the foods he discovered whilst living in Mexico and Colombia, Oka brings a unique and innovative talent to his kitchen at La Mar.
Together, the Olvera and Oka will meld their Peruvian and Mexican flavors to execute a menu inspired by their mutual expertise and love for all things food. Set against the contemporary backdrop of La Mar by Gastón Acurio at the Mandarin Oriental, guests will relish in the view of the city’s sparkling skyline across Biscayne Bay. Get ready for a melting pot of pan-Latin flavors right here in the Magic City, elevated by perfectly paired wines from Barton & Guestier, the oldest and most iconic French wine brand in the US.
To offer the safest experience and adhere to each restaurant’s unique seating capabilities, tickets will be sold in the specific table configurations listed at checkout. We cannot guarantee that multiple tables purchased for the same event will be located next to each other, but will do our best to accommodate this when venue floorplans allow for it.
