Elcielo at SLS South Beach is the perfect stage for a tour de force performance by two world-class chefs. The buzzwords for this unique dinner are: creativity, innovation, and whimsy. Michelin Star chef Juan Manuel Barrientos (known as “Juanma”) was born in Medellín. Barrientos is the creator and founder of Elcielo restaurants in Medellín, Bogotá, Miami and Washington, D.C. Inspired by his Colombian roots and using avant-garde techniques and neuroscience to captivate guests, Elcielo boasts Latin American fare incorporating molecular gastronomy. Juanma’s culinary narrative transports diners to the beaches of Cartagena and the mysterious corners of the Amazon jungle.
International award-winning Chef Danny Lledó finds inspiration in his Portuguese and Valencian heritage to create memorable culinary experiences at Xiquet by Danny Lledó In Washington D.C. Xiquet has held a Star in the MIchelin Guide since 2021 and earned the Guide’s Sommelier of The Year Award in 2022. Xiquet also received AAA’s highest distinction of Five Diamonds in 2022 – the only restaurant in Washington DC to do so. The restaurant’s sought-after tasting menu experience includes Lledó’s signature rice dishes, as well as innovative preparations of other traditional items from Valencian cuisine. A meal at Xiquet offers over 20 compositions of modern Spanish cuisine that showcase Valencian gastronomy.
The teaming up of these two titans promises to be a monumental, mind blowing experience.
