Description
One could argue that some of Iron Chef Marc Forgione’s greatest culinary achievements lie at the intersection of meat and heat. It’s true – when it comes to finding the flavor in fire, there are few chefs who can match his uncompromising passion and precision. This year, the celebrated chef of Peasant, One Fifth, and Restaurant Marc Forgione (all in NYC) is heading to the Festival to co-host an opulent Korean barbeque-style brunch at COTE, the Michelin-starred and James Beard Award-nominated KOREAN STEAKHOUSE™ in Miami’s Design District helmed by proprietor Simon Kim and Executive Chef David Shim. After making a red-hot debut with their New York City flagship location (which remains a standout amidst the city’s ever-crowded culinary scene), Kim and Shim brought their considerable talents to the Magic City, crafting a menu that stays true to the original concept while infusing each dish with a Latin and South American edge. For this elegant SOBEWFF® brunch, Shim and Forgione will turn up the heat to create a fiery, interactive dining experience that showcases dry-aged meats of the highest quality (prepared on the restaurant’s smokeless state-of-the-art tabletop grills), with richly flavored side dishes to match. Don’t bother making other brunch plans – simply put, this one is a cut above the rest.
