Hailing from New Orleans, LA, Food & Wine Best New Chef (2016) Michael Gulotta returns to the Festival to collaborate with fellow Best New Chef (2018) and fellow former Food Network Iron Chef Gauntlet contestant Kevin Tien from Washington, D.C. Both gentlemen are the executive chefs and co-owners of the most popular Asian-inspired concepts in their respective cities, with Gulotta’s MOPHO and Maypop drawing critical acclaim for his farm-fresh blending of Asian, Creole and Sicilian cuisines, and Tien’s modern take on Japanese cuisine earning Himitsu a spot on Eater’s best new restaurants in America list (2017) and a nod on Bon Appetit’s best new restaurants round up that same year. Chef Bruce Bromberg opens the doors of his casually-elevated Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill - South Beach, inside the boutique Plymouth Hotel, to chefs Gulotta and Tien, and displays the eclectic culinary expertise Blue Ribbon Restaurants are known for worldwide. Together, they will collaborate on a menu designed to delight the palate with reimagined flavors spanning the far corners of Asia, accented by wines from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio.
