The culinary industry is brimming with so many essential female voices, and we’re thrilled to highlight three of them at this special SOBEWFF® dinner. First up is LA-based Top Chef alum Arrington, whose globally minded flavors are imperative to cooking what she describes as “food that hugs the soul.” Having worked under the legendary French chef Joël Robuchon, Arrington also knows a thing or two about fine dining, which nicely complements the culinary perspectives of her two Miami-based collaborators, both James Beard semifinalists -- Valerie Chang (of Itamae in the Design District) and Luciana Giangrandi (of Boia De in Buena Vista). Chang, who was one of 25 women chosen to participate in the James Beard Foundation's 2020 Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Program, is known for her Nikkei-inspired menu of Japanese-Peruvian dishes that take full advantage of the best local and seasonal ingredients. Completing the trifecta is Giangrandi, who honed her skills at Scarpetta and Carbone before opening the meticulously conceived, Italian-centric Boia De. Enhanced by the 1920s charm of The Bath Club and featuring skillful support from Executive Chef Jeff Masanz, this dinner will demonstrate just how vital these chefs are to the communities they serve.

Guests will be assigned seating prior to this event. We can only guarantee that tickets purchased within the same transaction will be seated together. The Festival cannot guarantee accommodation of specific dietary requirements (including preferences and allergies) at this event. All proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in all aspects, including Festival planning, logistics and overall execution.

All guests, talent, staff, students and working personnel at all event venues will be required to complete a digital health screening through SymCheck™. This includes attestation of either: a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to the event OR completed vaccination plus presentation of a cleared SymCheck™ QR Code. Anyone presenting symptoms on arrival will be denied entry.

By attending a 2022 SOBEWFF® Event:

  2. You acknowledge that you (and all ticketed attendees) will complete a required SymCheck™ Screening & Health questionnaire on the day you are attending a SOBEWFF® event.
  3. You acknowledge that you (and all ticketed attendees) will be required to attest to either a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to the event(s) you are attending or completed vaccination.
  4. You (and all ticketed attendees) understand that by attending SOBEWFF® and therefore being subject to these COVID-19 Protocols, SOBEWFF® reserves the right to refuse entry or remove an individual from an event if any such protocols are breached.
