How’s this for a resume booster: “Helped execute one of the nation’s premiere food and beverage events alongside the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities.”
That’s the opportunity you’ll have as a student volunteer at the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One! It’s invaluable experiential learning that will prepare you for the workforce like no other.
Approximately 1,200 volunteers help make the Festival happen every year and assist with raising about $2 million annually to support the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and student success at FIU. The Festival offers real-world, hands-on experience in a variety of areas – including, but not limited to, event management, logistics, inventory, recruitment and sponsorship fulfillment.
Honoring our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our staff, talent, attendees, sponsors, participants, and community, SOBEWFF® has consulted with the FIU Healthcare Committee on COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols that follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), State of Florida Department of Health, Miami-Dade County, and the City of Miami Beach.
