“Ken” Sejour has grabbed his native Creole cuisine by the fishtail and created delicious seafood for the masses. Sure there’s queue boeuf (oxtail), barbecue ribs and fried chicken, but the main draw at Chef Creole is spiced up seafood – big time – you can’t miss the mural on the wall of the small fisherman reeling in a huge blue marlin. Every location is decorated with murals and symbols of the sea. Born in the Bahamas to Haitian parents, Ken and his brother, the late Jude Pierre, opened their first Chef Creole Restaurant on 77 St and NE 2nd Ave 25 years ago. From there they relocated to North Miami. Since then, he has established four more locations and his 6th newest addition opens in 2018 at the Miami International Airport. This is a benchmark to his success and the popularity of his food. Consequently, he is upgrading all staff training and service levels to ensure you, the customer, receives a quality of service that matches the quality of his food. His retail has also expanded with two distinct private sauce recipes, Pikliz and Epic.
Chef has been a featured guest on cooking shows, has had numerous articles in magazines, been the celebrity chef at numerous events, interviewed and been a guest chef on newscasts, and, participates in many community events. He has been honored by government and community officials for his dedication to his community. Businesses and schools have honored him for his commitment to youth as he urges them to achieve excellence in their lives. His success began with humble roots and he remains true to those roots by giving back. Musicians, celebrities, locals all eat together in his tiki huts enjoying quality food at great prices!
Chef Creole’s food crosses all cultural barriers…it’s simply delicious! Chef has very thorough methods of cleaning and seasoning all his food prior to cooking. He picks only the freshest of seafoods and meats. No cooked food is kept overnight insuring everything is cooked fresh to order. He holds every dish and every location to the highest standards.
