Austin-based Paul Qui is a winner of Top Chef, James Beard Foundation ‘Best Chef’, Food & Wine Magazine’s ‘Best New Chef’ and Esquire Magazine’s ‘Chef of the Year’. In addition, Chef Qui is the chef and owner of Qui, named ‘Best New Restaurant in America’ by GQ Magazine, and the East Side King restaurants and food truck, East Side King Thai Kun being named one of ‘America’s Best New Restaurants’ by Bon Appétit Magazine. In 2015 Qui opened Otoko, a 12-seat omakase sushi restaurant in the South Congress Hotel, and Pao, a modern Asian restaurant located in the Faena Hotel Miami Beach.
