Description

Indulge in a spectacular evening of exquisite flavors and culinary mastery at the Kosher Dinner hosted by culinary virtuosos Zak Stern, Timon Balloo, Nando Chang, and Shimi Alon. Held at the stunning Ovo at The Altair in Miami, this special event promises an evening of exquisite flavors and unparalleled culinary mastery.

Miami’s celebrated Zak Stern, a James Beard finalist and the visionary behind Zak the Baker, recently adorned with the esteemed MICHELIN Guide Bib Gourmand status, invites you to savor an unparalleled kosher dining experience. Joining him is the renowned Timon Balloo, the culinary maestro responsible for the perennially popular captivating restaurant, The Katherine. The culinary heart of Chef Timon Balloo’s food draws from a broad range of global flavors. From his Chinese, Indian-Trinidadian heritage to his classic European training, to the diverse kitchens where he built his career, each step along the way has led Balloo to become the chef he is today. Chef Nando Chang, the culinary genius behind Itamae, a Peruvian Japanese Sushi Counter nestled in the design district, will also be joining forces with these culinary maestros. His expertise lies in crafting a Peruvian Japanese fusion deeply inspired by the flavor profiles inherent in the northern cuisine of Peru. Chef Shimi Alon, owner, and executive chef of Ovo at The Altair, revered for his culinary perfectionism, crafts a menu resonating with the richness of Mediterranean flavors and an exquisite blend of gourmet ingredients. Trained in Israel and seasoned in both large-scale catering and diverse restaurant environments, Chef Shimi's dishes are a symphony for the taste buds.

Prepare to be enchanted by an evening celebrating kosher cuisine, as only these four local Miami chefs, each representing a distinct ethnic heritage, can do. They come together to shed light on what Kosher Food means in the South Florida diaspora. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to savor the creations of these culinary geniuses in a remarkable dining affair that promises to elevate your palate and culinary expectations.
