How to Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival! Approximately 1,200 volunteers help make the Festival happen each year, and assist with raising approximately $2 million annually for the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at FIU. The Festival serves as an interactive educational platform to gain real-world, hands-on experience in a variety of areas – including, but not limited to, event management, logistics, inventory, recruitment, sponsorship fulfillment, and much more. Volunteers work alongside industry experts, exposing them to endless networking opportunities within their field. Join the 65,000+ guests who attend this five-day gastronomic extravaganza showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities.
Volunteer Roles vary from event to event, but fall under four main categories:
Work alongside Event Managers and production teams.
- Front of house (FOH)
Guest registration, talent ambassadors, survey team, auction associates and general event support.
- Back of house (BOH)
Assist with roles such as logistics, set-up, break-down, inventory and golf cart driving.
Provide culinary support to chefs including plating and baking & pastry.
